Scorched

It wasn’t your words

That scorched my heart so badly

But your attitude

You were one that I trusted

Who tries to discredit me

Scent of Summer Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle

Scent of summer honeysuckle
Mixed with early morning dew
Stimulating all my senses
Cannot e’er compete with you

Walk with me in moonlight’s splendour
Where the honeysuckle grows
Watch the sunrise o’er the mountain
Bathing all in tender glow

Let us listen to the chorus
Of the morning birds in song
Singing out of love’s contentment
Oh may our love last that long

And, as all the world is stirring
Let us simply slip away
To our restful, peaceful garden
Till the morning turns to day

Oh, my love, may you feel comfort
In my arms may you find bliss
Sleep, awhile, in summer’s dawning
There to dream of love’s first kiss

Speak To Me

Speak to me;
Speak with words that burn
With the fire of love
Casting shadows from deep within.

Speak words that tear at heart strings
To bind them up again,
At one with the kindred spirit
Beating deep inside this lonely soul.

Speak with words
That only you and I can understand;
That tell our story
In shades and colours all sublime.

Speak to me;
Tell me that our love is true;
That nothing can or ever will
Come between us.

Speak to me
With words that draw us close together
In bonds unbreakable
That others cannot comprehend.

Speak to me;
And tell me why you love so strongly,
As I do.
And I will speak to you.

Walk With Me

pen-y-fan-7

Take my hand.
Walk with me along life’s path,
Through fields of grazing sheep,
Toward the summit’s splendour.

Loaded down with picnic hamper;
Basket full of snacks and treats
That we can share along life’s way;
Our onward, upward hike.

Rest for lunch upon the peak;
Gaze out from the summit,
As far as eyes can see,
And look toward our future.

Wait until the crowds have gone;
The tourist walkers leave;
Then you and I shall rest, alone,
In private solitude.

Our peaceful idyll,
Under bright blue skies
With dappled shade from clouds on high,
Calms our troubled hearts.

You and I, finding peace,
Sitting, resting, talking, thinking,
Of philosophy and poetry,
Of life, and what we’ve made it.

Descend as evening starts to fall,
With shadows growing longer.
Walk with me, along life’s path,
And conquer hills together.

Taking the Stress Out of Modern Life

Cenarth Falls 1

Cenarth Falls, Ceredigion, South West Wales

Cenarth Falls is a cascade of waterfalls at Cenarth, between Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. It is a peaceful village with beautiful walks around the falls; just right for relaxation.

In these busy days, too many people feel that they have no time to relax. Making a living is such a stressful activity that they feel they must devote as much time as possible to caring for their material needs and those of their families. Sadly, this often means not having time to spend with family members. In fact, many people spend so much time paying for their acquisitions that they do not have time to actually use those items.

Why Do We Need to Relax?
