Whoa! Nice! What a great idea! I love this! I’m going to do this I spend a lot of time downtown after dark. This is awesome!

I’m glad you think it will help. I have used this several times. As long as you set the camera down firmly, the worst that can happen is that you have to level the horizon later.
Also, if you are using a camera without a lens cap, I have had success getting the self timer to trigger the exposure.
One final tip, keep the camera strap looped around your wrist to avoid walk-by theft. Using a tripod is a deterrent but a loose camera could be tempting.

OMG I never thought of someone stealing your camera! You are right being downtown is dangerous especially at night! I love that idea though. I have never tried it before! 🙂

No photographer likes to have their photo taken. Ss for my profile, apart from showing up my gut, it gives me an air of mystery. You know. What does he really look like? 🙂
